Hiring multiple positions for a client in MISSISSAUGA.
The Powder Coating Painter will be responsible for applying powder coatings to metal and other surfaces, ensuring a uniform and aesthetically pleasing finish. Prepping surfaces, operating spray equipment, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation: Clean, sandblast, and mask parts to prepare them for coating.
Powder Coating Application: Apply powder coatings using electrostatic spray guns, ensuring even coverage and desired thickness. Adjust equipment settings to control flow, pressure, and spray patterns. Monitor curing ovens and ensure proper temperature and timing for optimal finish.
Quality Control: Inspect coated products for uniformity, color match, and finish quality.
Equipment Maintenance & Safety: Clean and maintain spray equipment, booths, and tools according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting.
• Experience with electrostatic spray guns, curing ovens, and surface preparation tools preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and safety instructions.
• Good eye for detail and color accuracy.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve coating issues.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.
• Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise.
